Prior to joining Supervisor Kuehl’s Office, Zaire Overton studied abroad in Brazil; more specifically the cities of Rio de Janeiro, Salvador da Bahia and Sao Paulo. She also expanded upon her international cultural experiences traveling to countries such as England, France, Argentina and more.
She is the co-founder of Career Opportunities for International Relations (COIR), an official annual Human Resources recruiting event for young professionals in the field hosted by the United States Department of State. Zaire graduated from the University of Southern California in Downtown Los Angeles, where she completed her degree in International Relations, with concentrations in International Politics & Security Studies and Culture, Gender & Global Society, and initiated the creation of a minor in Brazilian Cultural Studies. She is a native English speaker while being fluent in both Portuguese and Spanish.
