Rosaline George

Westside Community Liaison on Aging

Rosaline George joined Supervisor Kuehl’s staff in February 2015 as the Westside Community Liaison on Aging. As the oldest member of the team, she brings first-hand knowledge of senior issues.

Born in the Bronx, NY, Rosaline moved to Los Angeles in the 1950’s. For over 50 years she has been an outstanding community activist, participating in Evelle Younger’s Task Force on Women’s Rights, Women in Public Affairs, a campaign to stop offshore oil drilling in Malibu, the 1984 LA Olympic Organizing Committee, LA County Museum of Art, the California Arts Council, and UCLA Extension’s Department of Humanities and Communications.

As a professional journalist, she covered the Visual and Performing Arts and currently continues her advocacy for the arts as a member of the Colburn School Dance Council Steering Committee and the Joffrey Ballet Alumni Association.

Rosaline graduated from Brooklyn College, where she received her BA in Science and a minor in Art History and Humanities.
