Workforce/Economic Development Deputy
Patricia Castellanos is responsible for developing economic development and workforce development policy. Previously, Patricia served as Deputy Director for the Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy (LAANE), a leading policy advocacy organization committed to building a new economy rooted in good jobs, thriving communities, and a healthy economy.
Patricia recently served as LA Mayor Eric Garcetti’s appointed member of the Los Angeles Board of Harbor Commissioners which oversees the management and operation of the nation’s largest port. Patricia was also Harbor Area Director for LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. Prior to that, she was at SCOPE-LA, a leading organizing institution where she was trained and began her career as an organizer and advocate.
Patricia is a native Angeleno and currently lives in San Pedro where she’s raising her daughter Rosie.
