West Valley/Mt. Communities Field Deputy
Erin Schneider serves as Supervisor Kuehl’s Field Deputy for the West Valley and Mountain Communities office. Erin coordinates community engagement, events, programming, and constituent services for the areas of Encino, Tarzana, Reseda, Canoga Park, Winnetka, Woodland Hills, and West Hills.
Erin was born and raised in the west San Fernando Valley. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from California State University, Northridge (’10) with a focus on interpersonal relationships, gender dynamics, research studies and data analysis.
For nearly 10 years, Erin worked in the private sector helping youth and families in need. She was the Educational Program Coordinator for a school program at a private outpatient treatment center for adolescents with drug and alcohol issues. She founded Schneider Educational Services providing remediation and instruction to elementary through high school students struggling academically. Most recently, Erin served as a Domestic Violence Counselor and Victim Advocate at Haven Hills’s 30-day Crisis Shelter.
Erin is passionate about giving back. For 5 years, she volunteered as a crisis counselor at the CSUN Helpline and actively mentors struggling young adults in her community. She is committed to blending her social service background into public service by representing Supervisor Kuehl in the West Valley and Mountain Communities.
