 Benita Trujillo

Valley District Director

Benita Trujillo represents Supervisor Sheila Kuehl in the San Fernando Valley covering the City of San Fernando, plus nineteen communities in the valley from Reseda to Sylmar within the 3rd District. Benita is responsible for constituent services and representing the Supervisor and managing the day-to-day office functions.

Benita began her career in public service in 1999 with former Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky, as his field deputy. She was responsible for handling constituent services, provide bus transportation to seniors and non-profits agencies, present proclamations and represent the supervisor at various community events.

Prior to joining the 3rd District, Benita worked in the private sector responsible for reviewing and processing consumer investments with a local financial institution based in the valley. In addition, she started a neighborhood watch group in Mission Hills over twenty-five years ago, she volunteered after work and on weekends to help clean and beautify her neighborhood.
