The LA Opera is presenting Don Carlo, starring Plácido Domingo and conducted by James Conlon. This year, the Opera at the Beach program is expanding to the Valley at El Cariso Community Regional Park for the first time—aptly dubbed Opera in the Park.
On Saturday, September 22, Don Carlo will be broadcast live in high-definition from the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion to the big screen at El Cariso Park. Opera at the Beach is also returning for the third time to Santa Monica Pier, with a big screen for guests to enjoy a live simulcast of Don Carlo.
Opera in the Park and Opera at the Beach are free to the public, and guests are welcome to bring their lawn seats, blankets, cushions, and small picnics. Although the event is free, RSVPs are encouraged.
