No folding paper or breaking out the big wallet necessary. In a few simple steps, you can get vaccine verification in the palm of your hand- and with more and more venues requiring proof of vaccination in the coming weeks, convenience is key.
With the urgent need to reduce transmission risk and increase vaccination coverage in LA County, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health will begin requiring verification of vaccination in select high-risk settings as outlined below by October 7, 2021.
LA County has aligned our Health Officer Order with President Biden and now will require vaccination verification or a negative test within 72 hours prior to attending outdoor mega events. Attendees at indoor mega events are already required to show proof of vaccination or a negative test result prior to entry. Vaccine verification will also be required for customers and employees at indoor portions of bars, wineries, breweries, night clubs, and lounges. While not required, vaccine verification at indoor portions of restaurants are also recommended. The modified Health Officer Order also requires customers and employees at bars, breweries, wineries, night clubs and lounges to have at least one dose of the vaccine by October 7 and both doses by November 4.
The State of California recently released its Digital COVID-19 Vaccine Record portal. Just enter a few details to get a link to a QR code and digital copy of your COVID-19 vaccination record. If you received your vaccinations from a federal agency (e.g., Department of Defense, Indian Health Services, or Veterans Affairs), you will need to reach out to those agencies for assistance with your vaccination record.
Those who cannot find their record through this portal should also check healthvana.com or carbonhealth.com, as these are all reputable, verified sources to receive your digital records. But beware- vaccine record scams will be circulating in the coming weeks and months, so remember, all vaccine records are free and do not require information such as your social security or bank numbers.
And for those who still have not received their free, effective COVID-19 vaccination, make sure you visit VaccinateLACounty.com today!
