Here’s your chance to have an adventure and do good at the same time! The Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority is looking for 6,000 volunteers for the 2015 Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count, which will take place on the evenings of January 27th, 28th and 29th.

Work in thousands of cities across the country has shown that we can make a real dent in the problem of homelessness if we use accurate and up-to-date data to help drive the solutions.

But this data is not easy to collect, and we need your help to ensure that every person experiencing homelessness across the more than 4,000 miles of Los Angeles County is counted.

Join us on one (or all!) of the nights of the count to help ensure that LA County can invest in reducing homelessness in the most strategic and pragmatic ways. Let’s make sure that every single one of our homelessness neighbors is accounted for. Then we can begin the hard work of helping these men, women and children not only to be re-housed, but to reclaim their dignity and purpose and be a true part of our communities. Organize your neighbors and friends and family to come too! It’s an adventure and a not-to-be-missed experience — and it really helps LA work to end homelessness!
