Valley Field Deputy & Caseworker
Jessica Orellana was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. She is first generation college graduate and the oldest of three in her family. She obtained a B.A. degree in Sociology and a minor in Business Management from California State University, Northridge and a Master’s of Social Work, with an emphasis in Community Organization and Business Innovation from the University of Southern California.
Her experience includes serving as a Development and Community Engagement intern with Los Angeles Family Housing, Administrative/Homeless Project Intern with the City of Santa Monica, Transitional Development Specialist with Los Angeles College Foundation, managed a Family caseload of 60+ clients in multiple California Subsidize Child Care Programs. She also served two-terms as an executive board Member for Comision Femenil of the San Fernando Valley. A grassroots organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for the Latina, her family, and her community through education, leadership development, and community involvement.
Jessica represents Supervisor Sheila Kuehl in the San Fernando Valley covering the City of San Fernando and nineteen communities in the 3rd District. Jessica is responsible for constituent services, managing the day-to-day office functions, and representing Supervisor Sheila Kuehl in the field.
As an active community member and advocate, Jessica hopes she can touch many lives with her involvement.
